Your days are your life in miniature. As you live your hours, so you create your years. As you live your days, so you craft your life. What you do today is actually creating your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat and the actions you take are defining your destiny — shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for. Small choices lead to giant consequences over time. There’s no such thing as an unimportant day.

What a POWERFUL quote! I love a good quote.

“There’s no such thing as an unimportant day.”

It’s so easy to get sucked into the mundane tasks of everyday life and forget that we are crafting our lives, that everything we do matters. That’s been my experience anyway, especially in busy seasons…or when I’ve been in survival mode.

I love the concept of creating our days and lives.

Some might scoff at the idea that we have any control over our lives. There are tasks that have to be done, bills that have to be paid, mouths that have to be fed, but we don’t have to be unhappy drones. We have power and freedom to make our days meaningful even in the midst of everything else we have going on.

Sometimes I wonder how much power I actually have. I’ll be driving to work and wonder what would happen if I turned around and drove home. If I can create my future and I don’t love what I’m doing for work, why can’t I leap into something more exciting and lucrative right this minute? If only it were that easy.

I will continue to go to work and pursue my education, but while I am carrying out the necessary duties, I can still be creating a life I love. I have power every day to make each day important. I just have to be intentional about doing so. I have lived from this space before and I can do it again.

There is an AWESOME video that I’ve shared before, but it’s worth resharing.

What kind of life are you crafting for yourself? I’d love to hear what you think about Robin Sharma’s quote or any other thoughts that came to mind while you were reading. Thank you for spending a few minutes with me. –Sarah B.
